The bear skull was Thalia's fathers and she so generously let me use it for the shoot with her. We lovingly nicknamed the skull Hubert and we made sure he was guarded like a valuable treasure. He even had his own laundry basket lined with soft blankets to rest in while we set up the shots. Hubert made it out of the shoot unscathed, although his ego may have been bruised from all the strange looks he got from onlookers as we shot.
A lady walking her dog trotted past and the dog began barking. I guess if I were a dog and I saw some strange girl in the tall grass holding a bear skull, I'd be barking too.
